| I saw a commercial on TV about air line antifreeze. If I were to start using it where does it go, how much do you use and how often? |

It goes in the Jockey box and is never used if you are draining your tanks daily and servicing your dryer as it is needed.
Why would I carry it then? In case I am hooking up to a trailer that I have not used before and no one has been draining the tanks on it.
I have it in my tractor and have never used it in over five years of operation.
Of course, sometimes the tanks are drained three or four times a day.
If needed, the best way to put it in so the trailer gets it, would be to hold the supply line up, pour it into the line, then hook up and then supply the trailer. At the same time, put some into the serice line and once you have supplied the trailer, then use the hand, or foot, valve to put some air into the trailer.
I have even had to take a line off of the tanks and pour it into them so it would work.
In that event, it is so cold and there is so much moisture in the system, you may need heat to get it to thaw out.
Welcome to winter. |
