That's interesting.
I bet those Rainbows could take on the Jayhawkers anyday. :P
They need to do something. It's crazy. All Division 1 schools should be able to be ranked, no matter who it is.
When you have a team that is a power house, they are a power house. No matter what conference it is in.
Last year, Boise State went undefeated. Boise State probably could have beated Ohio State just as bad as Florida did. |

Yeah the second round matchups would be awesome:
USC @ Mizzou
LSU @ WVU
Florida @ the shoe OSU
KU @ UGA
with semis being:
UF @ WVU
UGA @ Mizzou
finals held at Rose Bowl:
WVU vs. Mizzou (see now I would be much more interested in this game after they go though the tournament style to get there,I would watch then.) |

| That is THE way it should be, not left up to biased coaches and computers. It would be awesome, I would love to see the Gators and Mountaineer match up. :D So many teams have changed since the beginning of the season, that this would be fair for every team. Makes too much sense and cannot be governed by the big-wigs that have their pockets filled by the corporate sponsors. Dammit! |

| Toss out the At-Large's and I'm game. How do you come up with the At-Large's anyways, a poll, the BCS, computers, or a committee's opinion?? Any of those 4 ways will still hurt the non-power conference's that may have a team just as good as say, Florida as an At-Large. You know a committee is going to pick a big name school not already in, it happens every year in NCAA Basketball. Get rid of all the polls, have to win your conference to get to the playoffs and seed the conference champs with a committee. Whomever is #1 in the committee's eyes, gets a 1st round bye. |

In that presentation, there is an inherent logic in just making it available to conference champions, but what about those conferences that do not have a championship game? What about the independents? If you go that route, you still have to have some at-large teams having a shot. Consider Kansas. Only loss to Mizzou? Perfect example of a team that should be in it.
I think the plan presented might actually be a little too playoffy. I think you can have an 8 or 12 team playoff and keep the bowls and still use the BCS to seed the playoff tree, making everybody happy.
He's right about one thing, though. It's only a matter of time before we have playoffs. The Big 10 DICKtators won't rule forever. Sorry *****. Every time I think of that Big 10 tool box that ruins this show, I wish I'd read a story about his plane crashing into a mountain somewhere with him the only one aboard. :x |
