|
|
Flatbed driver with six months of experience with a well known flatbed company is tired of driving and tarping for such low pay.
Experience is one thing ... but how long does it take to learn how to tarp and drive? I have that.
Last week I made $59 dollars. That isn't as bad as the fact that I'm being forced loaded, late loaded (so it's almost impossible to make the load date ... and impossible NOT to burn out really, really fast...), and the expectations are ... unreal. Drop, load, then tarp all on the same day ... then drive another 500 miles??? It's midnight by then. No shower, no time to brush my teeth ... just drive, eat fast, sleep ?? And $59.00!!!???!!!
Wage-slavery has taken on new meaning. I'm not going to post the name of my company because I like them and they gave me a good start... but I think they have some problems to work out ... and I need a life.
I'm ready to drive almost anything ... anywhere. Naturally, I'd love a local job that allows me to go home at night. Willing to relocate.
I think I plan to make my home in the midwest. Any suggestions? |
