What about those Red Sox winning the World Series 2x in 3 years?
Both those trips resulted in 8 games with 0 losses for the Red Sox. Too bad the Cubs cannot do the same thing. |

Sounds like they're slowly becoming the Yankees. One of the main reasons I don't watch baseball, too boring and predictable. I didn't even watch a single World Series Game this year. Although, I will say good luck to your Cubs next year. |

I agree with Wild. Because it was the Red Sox, I had absolutely zero interest in the series and didn't tune in. By the same token, had it been the Indians and the Rockies, I would have probably watched every game.
Baseball has become a 1-trick pony show these days. It's boring, predictable, and not worth my time as a fan. One of these days, they'll take a clue from football and introduce a salary cap and make it competitive and fun again. Until then, while only 2 or 3 teams have a legitimate shot at winning the whole thing, screw'em. |

Over the last ten years, your points really don't hold up
97 Marlins
01 Diamondbacks
02 Angels
06 Cardinals
and only twice since 97 has 2 top market(high spending) teams met in the WS 1999 Braves v. Mets, 2000 Mets v. Yanks, every other year there has been a smaller market team in the WS and some of them had legitimate chances to win.
I understand that it is popular to say and if you ask anyone on the street they will tell you that the Yankees win every year, but in truth the small market teams have a legitimate chance every year, only problem with my arguement is that when these small market teams get good they have virtually no chance of re-signing their star players, but as the Marlins showed after the fire sale after their first WS, they did make it back with different characters and won. |

Are you sure about this? i did some research and the Red Sox last won the world series back in 2004 and this is 2007, therefore, it has been 3 years.
Mike, if you can disprove me, add the link to your next response to prove this.
