I was thinking about attending this school. When you were out on the yard doing manuevers how many other students shared the truck with you. When you were out driving out on the road how many were in the truck with you?? I just dropped out of the Nuway truck drivng school in stlouis. They had 20 students per truck. The trucks were in deplorable condition. The parts were falling off as we were driving. Everyone took turns hauling water for the leaky radiator. The place is pathetic. I dont want to make another mistake.
thanks |

A friend of mine went to the Southern Missouri Truck Driving School in Malden, Mo.
It is a PTDI certified school and he said the training was really good. He used to drive trucks back in the early 90's but let his CDL go and had to go back through school before anyone would hire him so he was not a blind newbie when he went there.

Thanks for taking the time to post. I actually know all about that school. I got a grant from WIA in my state. I had the choice of either 2 good schools SMTDS or Crowder College or staying in town and going to NUWAY the CDL school from HELL. Unfortunately i made a horrilble decision. I cant believe the state would even allow this school to receive government funds. Im looking at inexpensive schools now. Theres a PTDI school in Nashville TN that only charges 1250. Arkansas State University only charges 1400. ThE SMTDS school charges 4000.
I have complained to the Education department that disburses funds for truck driving schools. I find it surprising their gonna let this school keep my money eventhough they never followed through with their contract terms. Over 4500 bucks of taxpayers money down the drain!!!!! |
