Yep I'm still alive, moved down South about 3.5 hours North of Vancouver.
I'm back hauling for Arrow for now, I'm actually changing truck colors in a couple weeks, so I can have all day shifts and weekends off.
I like it for now, I am missing the highway and the Yukon but I will give this a while and not prematurely take off in case its just temporary.
So I take Super B's into ridiculous places like this. All the loading place are like this, there is no room for error on the scales either, most of them are littered with lug nut caps from guys scraping and taking them off.
My truck on its way up to the tipper.

I'm so proud of you, your doing something with those trailers I don't think I'd ever want to pull or do. ... Keep the pictures comin  |

lol... this was also my FIRST trucking job right out of driving school. Actually I like the Super Trains. I like going into these tight places, feels like your accomplishing something. haha Especially when the guys are hitting stuff all the time.
Honestly, my biggest challengs is backing those things up... and not what your thinking!!! We split the train to load and unload, and have to back around the little pups. Well after backing 53's for 3 years it was like being a rookie again! It is MUCH harder. hahah
Was pretty frustrated for a while, but got lots of laughs out of it too. |

HUH? I don't really get much of that. Do I have the same trailers everyday? No...
Nights half the time, for another few days, then straight days. |

Sigh.... I decided it was time to be closer to my family. I never promised I was leaving forever, but I'm gonna give this time and if the home sickness doesn't go away I'll go back next year. lol |

| I left Clearwater ( a very small town ) in the morning, two trucks pulled over by d.o.t. and a third d.o.t. driving by in the other direction... Then in Kamloops, a brake check crack down, maybe 6 d.o.t. there, a few more cops & d.o.t. in a construction zone just a few miles after that, and a two car speed trap just south of Merrit... ( heavy presence ) |

They are on a major crackdown around there, usuing a temp gun to take the brake temps. I guess in the last week 10 trucks came off highway 5 with their brakes on fire. (We have logging trucks running around there right now, the dot told him that yesterday) |

L.N. ,
I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the new Greyhound terminal in Boston Bar, I was thinking some people on the board might appreciate a picture of it and I know you pass by there often...
I was speechless when I seen it, I'm quite sure a local architect was used as the building seems to fit into the surrounding urban / rural background. The use of natural building materials found locally is also evident.
It looked like the passenger, freight terminals were connected making loading a one-stop deal, I'm sure this is a very energy efficient building as the use of natural lighting, & a/c was apparent, simplicity by design... |
