OK. The short verision.
I have a felony conviction 21 years ago, served 8 years home 13. Been employed since 8 days out. Have worked for IBM and teacher at a business school and currently assistnat phlebotomy supervisor for a major diagnostic firm. Moving soon and with the felony going to have to relive that soon. Looking into trucking. Have money to pay for school but am leaning towards a program with recruiters to help find me that first company. From their i think i will be ok. Can someone please give me some guidence as to where i might have some success. |

| I can't believe that so many people have looked at this message and no one has offered a reply. Maybe truckers are not the nice people i heard they were. |

I was convicted of manslaughter in 1987. served 8 years and came home in 1995. in the last 5 years, i have had one ticket for failure to obey a traffic device. fine paid

| all i can offer is start by calling around and see if you can fine some companies that will hire you BEFORE you go to school. |

I would second that..... there are some recruiters on here. like sheepdancer. they could probably give you an idea |

Gary, that's a tough one. Like it was said above, you'll need to call as many companies as you can. You might have better luck with smaller mom and pop companies. |
