Exactly! Sorry I abbreviate everything
Illinois requires the cert before you can get a CDL learners permit, at least that's what the lady at our DMV told me. |

Are going for your haz mat? I live in Illinois and I have had a haz mat endorsement on my CDL since they came out.Now with all of the "monkey business" with the secretary state's office and homeland security I dropped mine.
Good Luck! |

When I went to renew my CDL last year I did the background check, fingerprints, etc. I go to the Sec.of State's office and show them my paperwork, they look it over and enter it in their system and from the time I did the background check and my test they changed their program.
The vendorlist they sent me prior to taking my test changed to only certain select vendors. They tell me to contact the one I used to see if I could get a refund(ha ha),their new vendor was like $90.00 compared to the $39.00 I already shelled out.
I went through the chain of agencies state police,TSA etc. just a big hassle and just another "trucker tax" to pay. |
