| I'm not sure if this is the right forum. I have been on the road for 20 years and am looking to find something where I can stay at home. Someone suggested freight brokering. Any suggestions on the best way to go about this? Every online school says they are the best, but I need actual student proof. Where are those successful brokers that went to a decent brokering school? Any help or advice would be appreciated. By the way, I am still trucking until I can possibly get this brokering thing going. Keep it safe out there. |

So again we meet.
So far I've found this --- which is not much I'm mostly going to give links and book titles since i'm JUST starting and haven't read much of anything.

Two books I've found are
"Freight Broker Handbook" @ amazon.com
Entrepreneur Magazine: Start your own freight brokering business @ amazon.com
My initial impression is that if you want a business that is going to have a low-cost startup - think something else. Most of the things I've read agree on one thing -- if you want to start your own business have 3 - 4 months of living expenses saved up. |
