| I'll have to ask Jeff about it, but I'm guessing it was moved on purpose to end the spammers once and for all. We've got full control over their junk now, but they still rely on getting their websites into their profiles in order to get clicks. Removing the members list will remove the last little opportunity they have to spam us. |

The memberlist was really just a way to keep tabs on the top poster. Yoopr had that sewn up last year.
:P
But the search function is still there, so if anyone needs to find a poster, that's the best way to do it. |

I realize there is a certain amount of need for attention getting.
I understand a message board is a misfitted excuse for social contact,
and possibly stems random workplace violence.
But a thread on......."What is your Favorite Ice Cream ?"
What will be next? ..."What is your Favorite Color ?"
We really should be discussing...

| Jeff removed the memberlist link for a reason...eliminating spam. Yes, the list is still there, but it is just not linked. It would be much appreciated if it remains unposted. That's not a request, by the way. There is a lot of leeway given to posters on this board. There are some things, though, that just need to be left alone. Thanks. |

This is an exact copy of a PM I sent to Rev.Vassago concerning the memberlist.

Perhaps you need better sources of information. I simply fixed a bbcode tag on a post of mine. The link was still there, as was someone's response which included a quote of my post, which also included the link.
If it was an issue to provide the link, then perhaps someone should have properly deleted it instead of leaving the address intact, and the bbcode broken. A simple PM explaining the edit to the post would have been nice too. Had I known that a moderator edited the post, rather than thinking that I had simply screwed up the bbcode [url] tag, then I would have left it be (or would have gone back and properly deleted the address).
The link never disappeared, it was simply a broken link. The response that included my post with the link intact was still there at the time I repaired the broken bbcode. If this was an issue, then a simple PM telling me why you deleted it would have sufficed.
I would love to know what was so "childish, selfish, and irresponsible" about repairing a broken bbcode in a post of mine. |

I side with Twilight Flyer and CAD on this.
I brought up the question, and it WAS immediately pointed out this was removed for a reason.
Semantics over the details of that is not really productive. The chain of command was enacting protocols.
It simply is not wise to interfere where not invited, nor commissioned.
Before I asked the question,
I think we all had a fair assumption this was done because of new procedures to increase security.
All of us are aware of recent member banning as well as the ongoing spam plague.
Another assumption one might make is I am flexing my ego, and superior knowledge right now,
and maybe I don't mean it in a malicious or irresponsible manner.
Egos are construed selfish and often childish to everyone with the less superior mind, in question. :lol: :? :)
Before anyone chooses to paste and parse words with me...keep in mind...I'm already laughing,
for I am a genius, and therefore way ahead of you. :lol: ...yer too late. :P
