About 2 weeks ago, I finished my truck driver training at Swift's school in Kansas City, Missouri. I chose that school because it was close to home (20 miles away), and it was one of the lower priced schools that I checked out.
It's a good thing that I signed up for the class when I did. Yesterday, one of the school's instructors that I keep in touch with, called me and told me that the school was shut down without any warning whatsoever. Needless to say, he was pretty upset about it. I'm pretty sure that the current group of students that are there aren't happy about it either.
Right now, I'm out on the road with my mentor and loving every minute of it! My 1st day out with my mentor was this past Friday, so I've been out here for a total of 4 days now.
I'm just soooo happy that I went through the school when I did before it was shut down! |
