| The Chargers owner is an idiot, period. Marty was a perfect fit for San Diego and he could make them win. Any owner that would fire a coach that goes 14-2, just because he doesn't get along with him, needs to have his head examined. And he got rid of him for Turner? Are you serious? Norv Turner is a great offensive coordinator, but he's lousy as a head coach. When the Chargers fail to make the playoffs this year, who will he get next? |

| The rumor was Jimmy Johnson...........if Norv fails to take this team deep into the playoffs, look for Jimmy Johnson or Bill Cowher. Spanos will open his pocket and pay top dollar. AJ Smith the GM might be on his way out also. It might be a complete house cleaning if they don't go deep into the playoffs. |

Yep. Left me fully convinced that the Charger's ownership has got to be the dumbest in the NFL.
must I remind you of the sad state of Lions football?
Our GM goes 5-31 and 3 coaches and gets a 5 yr extension......WTH |

Actually SD is my second team (since the Rams left). Being a Pats fan, I did not take much joy watching LT and Chargers fall apart. Marty formed that team. His players would run through a wall for him. Norv is lucky if they will run through charmin for him.
AJ Smith better hope they can win despite his blunders. Picking up Chambers was a good move. He knows the system, and he is a savvy player, nevermind skilled.
Vincent Jackson, so far, is a bust. Chambers will open things up for the running game, as the D can't consistently put 8 in the box and cover Gates.
Bottom Line: You will see more point production out of the SD O. |

I wished that Norv was still in Dallas. |

As your HQ or O Coordinator? There is a difference, Ask Wash, Oakland and now SD about Head Coaching.
