I don't like the 48 or 24, Kyle Busch is one hell of a driver, but what da hell ,are they really that good or are the rest of the teams that bad? Gordon has got to be second guessing his decision to even put Jimmie in the #48, after all jimmie is the main obstacle in the way of Gordon making a run at Earnhardt's 7 Championships. Gordon definetly didn't look happy after the race and was restrained in his post race comments.

I kinda like Kyle Busch. He gets in there, and races. Dont matter if he bumps, and grinds. I dont have a favorite anymore. All the guys I liked are either retired, or gone.

Are they that good, well kinda...... :D They have always been good at the last 3 tracks, Atlanta, Bristol and Martinsville. Gibbs has always been strong at Atlanta and Martinsville. Gibbs and Hendrick have the COT figured out for the short tracks. The real challenge will be on the bigger tracks where downforce really matters. The teams it will prolly benefit will be the teams who have old timers on them. This car is all about mechanical setups, no more engineering degree setups. These setups will harp back to the days of yore, the 80's and 90's.

I love how people are jumping Gordon for crying after the race, he wasn't crying, just pi$$ed off. Guess if they want to call it crying, then Earnhardt cried a lot. I suspect Mr. Hendrick had a nice little talk with Jimmie after the race when nobody else was around. Yeah, 5 laps to go, you race hard whether it's a teammate or not. You do not block and chop your teammate for the last 20 though. Love Jimmie's excuse  , "Well he kept hitting me harder and harder so I kept blocking harder and harder." It's too bad he has lost all respect around the garage even with being the defending champ. Now he is about to lose his respect with his teammates. Might see a lot more of Vickers' Talladega move put on JJ in the future by his teammates. Let's see, this is at least the 3rd teammate to have a run-in with JJ in the last year and JJ claims it wasn't his fault. Kyle at Dover last year in the "Shock Gate" race. Kyle could not pass him without wrecking him because JJ kept chopping him off into the turns. Even Knaus said-so, he thanked Kyle for not turning them into the fence. Knaus was also first to Gordon's car yesterday for a quick, "Sorry and thanks for not wrecking us." JJ didn't even have the guts to say that on national TV.

Someone needs to put JJ in the fence.

As for Hendrick the only one worth liking is Casy Mears.

If you want a class act and a good driver go with Jeff Burton.

I'm a 24 fan, he should have wrecked Johnson, but Jeff doesn't race that way, to bad.

Just ask yourself this, what would Tony stewart have done or the Big E ? you bet your ass Johnson would have been wrecked.
See if Gordon's crew helps out the lowes team anymore.

Stewart already showed what he would do. He did it in last year's Spring race at Martinsville. JJ kept chopping and blocking him even when Tony had a fender there, so Tony darn near put him in the fence when he hit'em the final time to make the pass.

I'm betting Gordon is not very happy with Hendrick right now. He didn't just ask Hendrick for the ok to move JJ, he informed him that he may have no choice since JJ kept chopping his fender off. Hendrick responded with something along the lines of, "You better not wreck him." That wasn't exactly what he said, but that was the gist of it. After the race JJ came across the radio with this, "I bet he is pi$$ed off and I don't really give a d@mn what he thinks but it's been my dream to go head to head with him here."

Jeff will use the bumper, just ask Rusty and Bobby Labonte. He will use it as a last resort though. This new COT takes the bump and run out of the equation right now. It is back to the chrome horn days. Instead of giving a gentle tap that *might* get the guy in front's attention, this new bumper WILL get their attention when you give them a small shot. I cannot wait for 'Dega in the fall with this new car. We will either see a bunch of penalties for excessive bump drafting or you will see guys getting shot out of cannons when they get bumped.

good grief-I'm not a fan of either of them but in short track racing bumping and grinding is what it's all about.

That's what I like about the short tracks. Lots of spin outs, and stuff. :P

I don't mind the bumping and grinding yoop, but you don't force your teammate to resort to that stuff by not cutting them any slack when they have a fender inside you for 20 laps. Gordon has had the chance a few times to do the same back to JJ and has not done it, he has pulled high and let him go on by. Guess JJ's commercial with Elliott Sadler is true, it portrays him as an arrogant a$$ and that's what it appears he really is after Sunday's actions and comments. Take away that entire team and give him Casey Mears' team, bet he doesn't run up front much.

I agree BUT you don't think Gordon wouldn't have done the same?

Isn't the goal to have many more colors on your car at the end of the race than what you started with?
