| Never took a lesson but I used to practice a lot when I was young. State police kept pulling me over though, so I had to quit. |

I've somewhat took lessons. Grandfather and uncle raced when I was younger, like 6 year's old. I'm looking for a good driving school that allows you to get out there and actually run instead of following the leader like most do. Only found one that lets you run, Dale Jarrett's schools but the price was steep.
As for the race today, won't watch it. Don't like Bruton nor his company, SMI. They stole a race from Wilkesboro(with help from New Hampshire's Bob Bahre getting the other race there,) and stole both Rockingham races. Bruton is batting .500 on fixing tracks. He screwed up Lowes and now Vegas but fixed Atlanta and Texas. Made Atlanta a fun track for the drivers without having Goodyear bring a special tire and took the roughness out of Texas' Turn 1 entry and Turn 4's left hand turn that was way too sharp with how the track flattened out too quickly. Now he wants to "fix" Bristol by repaving it. Won't change the racing Bruton, but go for it if you want to spend some money. Just cause Goodyear to bring a special tire that the drivers will hate because the test laps will show them running record speeds. The track record is a 14.9 by Ryan Newman, repaving will have them running 14.7 or better. While Bruton doesn't own Darlington, I hear the Lady in Black is going to be getting a repaving very soon. Ain't nothing wrong with that track but someone wants to repave it. |

| Record for the track or for NASCAR's Cup Series all time record of 22 at Lowes?? 62 PSI in the right front tire today?? It's no wonder the tires aren't gripping properly when doing 198 mph into the turns. Like Biffle said, "It's like driving on black ice." It's a wonder with that much air in the right front that the car even turns at all. Give them grip at the normal PSI and let them hang it all out. I can't believe how much of a hypocrite Stewart is over this. First he blasts Bruton for changing the track and making it so fast, in Stewart's words, too fast and unsafe during testing. So NASCAR and Goodyear work to slow the cars down since you can't change the track a month before the race. Now he blasts Goodyear and NASCAR for slowing the cars down by making the tire harder and putting more air in it. Says it's more dangerous now that the cars are all over the place. Here's a novel idea, don't go into the corner so dang fast, deal with it and move on. Can't change the tires now. |

They brought the harder tire to make it safer for the drivers, now instead of blowing tires and crashing they are just getting loose and crashing, kinda same result don't ya think?
I realize that blowing tires and hitting the wall head on is much more dangerous but anything can happen when cars get crossed up.
As a ticket holder at Vegas I am glad they changed the track and after a few races and the track sitting in the Vegas heat for a summer or 2,they will have a good 2 and three groove race track in the future and maybe dare I say it an exciting race there? |

| I understand why they did it, someone just needs to get it thru Stewart's thick head. I really hope the track develops in the next 2 years and becomes good but sorry, I can't get too hyped to it. Looks too much like Kansas and Chicagoland now. Maybe if they changed it to a Saturday night race to separate it from the other 2. |

I think I heard someone died in a race somewhere this weekend. Is it true?
I'd love to go to one of those racing schools. Hell of a rush that would be. If I had the money I'd try and become a race car driver. I don't really watch it on tv but I'd love to do it. |

| Nothing on Jayski about it and they cover just about everything within the US if it deals with NASCAR. Might have been a local short track race somewhere. |

I mentioned Jayski's on another thread here and Jayski's, as far as I'm concerned, is the best NASCAR Site there is and that Includes NASCAR.COM which I don't think is very good at all.
Been going to their site for a few years now |
