| Hey all i just bought a 85 9370 eagle with a bc 400. has 2 wiring issues which may not be related. first the headlights will go out but then they will come back on a minute later an you can here a click. a weak circuit breaker maybe? second problem is on my first drive the voltmeter was reading low all of a sudden and i slowly lost all my lights etc. kept truck running and hooked jumper cables from another truck to it just for a minute an all of a sudden is starts charging again an made it home fine. the volmeter still only reads 12. has new alternator and batterys. Thanks for any suggestions, |

| i had elec prob a while back. not exactly the same, but similiar in nature. i too had new batteries & new alt. the prob was the hot wire going to back of alt was very loose. it is crimped into a metal connector with an eye & it just pulled out & was not making good contact. hitting bumps on road would make volt meter needle jump back & forth. check all the wires. alt & batt cables. good luck. |
