I have a big crock pot. I would guess when full, it can hold 2 gallons. Depending on your size crock, adjust up or down as needed.

2 cans cream of mushroom.
2 cans celery soup.
1 package beefy onion Lipton dry soup or....use regular onion soup but it makes things a bit juicy. Adjust as you like.
3 lbs stew meat.
1 full stick of butter if you dont have a cholesterol problem. It's really good without the butter as well.

I like to cut the stew meat into smaller pieces. Use a fork and knife to cut the raw meat. Stab the meat with the fork and cut on either side of the fork or use the fork as a guide (between the forks tines) to make bite size pieces.

Salt as you like but the soups have salt already....
Remember, salt used while cooking brings out flavor.
Salt just sprinkled onto food when it's already done, only makes the food salty tasting. If you want to add salt, I would recommend Lawry's seasoned salt.

Garlic. If you like garlic as much as I do, pile it in. I also like this meal with out the garlic to have a traditional tasting Stroganoff meal very much.
You can buy chopped or minced garlic in the store. It is 1/2 the strength of fresh garlic but peeling, chopping fresh garlic is 10 times the work.

Cook in your crock 8 hrs.. Stir if you are around but not necessary.

Really good on egg noodles but for lower cholesterol, use regular pasta in the shape you like or put on your fav rice....

Be good, Jim

I just wanted to add that when you make a pot roast try using Chuck meat. I cook a lot and this is the most delicious meat you can use.

Please tell me you mean sweet peas. I don't even want to imagine how sweat peas are packaged.
