| o.k. this is mainly for the guy's. but anyone will love this if tried. men... ya wanna impress the wife one day? take... 1 -12oz can of any beer- 3 cups of self rising flour & 3 tablesponns of sugar. mix well.(i use a fork to mix) place in greased 9" loaf pan & bake at 375 degrees for 45 min. you can eat warm or when totaly cooled. this will be the best & quickest homeade bread you ever made & it taste great. this will impress your spouse. i mean just the thought of you being able to put beer in this recipe will make you want to try this.lol. plus your wife will really appreciate your slaving over a hot oven..lol. have fun... p.s. i know the people who try this will reply here... it is that easy & that good.. have fun. god bless.. troy |

That's slightly different from my own beer bread recipe, but I can confirm that it does make a good bread. It's especially great with beef stew.
My recipe is identical except for:
I only use 2 cups SR flour
Bake for 45' @ 350, then drizzle with 1/2 stick of melted butter and return to oven for another 10-15'.
Wonder if this would be a good candidate for cooking in one of those 12V "lunchbox ovens"? Of course, you'd have to mix the ingredients at home - the DOT just would NEVER understand..! |

You can do this recipe in a crock pot, just put the batter into a metal coffee can before putting it into the crock pot. As for doing this in the truck............ :shock: |
