How about adding an image verification "hack" to the board? This is used when a new user signs up. Although it's not 100%, it will eliminate a *LOT* of the spam we're getting here lately.

Remember, most of this spam doesn't actually come from a person sitting at the keyboard - it's done by a program to create an account, do the email verification, and then log in to post their one and only message.

Very good suggestion. That would elimate alot of spam. Alot of sites use that to verify you are real.

I second it!

You mean those little boxes with the goofy letters, and numbers that you have to read, and then type in?

Actually, according to Jeff, that image verification is already in place. So those are indeed real people doing the cut and paste spam. Some people just have no life.

What that person posted, yoopr, had NOTHING to do with the CAD board. It had to do with knowing something about software. It's a shame that you have such a condescending attitude towards someone who offers their input on a subject.
