Monday will begin my third full week at Central Tech. Other than the O'dark thirty start times, I have no complaints, and nothing but praise for this school. Every instructor I've met has been professional, courteous and very helpful. They know when to be serious, and when it's time to lighten up and keep what can be a stressful experience fun. If you give respect, it will be returned.

took career assesment test, math tests, reading skills, some paperwork, more paperwork. The WIA is looking promising so far. Hopefully will come thru soon. Just found out that I get to do all the work for a co-worker who will be off on extended leave, plus all my responsibilities as well. No raise - No O.T. can't beat it. I know you all are jealous. Nothing new for me, been doing the job of another whose been off several months already. My job plus two other peoples jobs. Guess I can handle the trucking thing. Hours will be about the same for me as the have been for about the last year.

okie when you get settled in class ... tell Mr.Olinghouse ... 4roses/Sharon ... say's Hello !! ..... he will be your teacher. Each teacher is assigned a company they primarily train for .... Mr. Olinghouse is CFI ... Mr. Townsend trains for Arrow, and a few other companys, Mrs. C. trains for JBHunt and there's a few other instructors there and I forget who else or what other company's send new students there to be trained. Just know that your going to a Very Qualified school. Enjoy it and ask alot of questions.

Hey roses how are ya? Well I am not going the CFI route, going on my own. They will have a CFI class about half done by the time I will get there so he may be tied up with that. So do not know if I will have the Mighty "O" but if I do I will tell him you said Hey. Do you know anything about the housing up there in Drumright? I looked at the sheet from the CT web site but not real informative. Any help anyone has about the housing would be appreciated.

okie .... Antiques and More is your best bet. .... tell them you want to stay in a home/house. There all equipped with washer/dryers ... each bedroom has it's own lock ... you can keep your food separate if you wish, but you'll do your own dishes. .... the maid comes in daily and cleans the restrooms, leaves fresh towels&washrags , vacuums and change the sheets each Wed.. ... but do take the dishes you'll want to use - they don't supply those .... if it's still cold when you go - take an extra blanket for your bed. ... I never saw bugs or anything of that kind while I was there. ... I went to Drumright the month before school started and they took me over to see a couple of places they have ... when I found the one I wanted to stay in I paid a % of my deposit so they would hold it for me.

How far are you from Drumright Okie? From what I've been hearing from my fellow students, the housing is kind of a high school environment. It might be worth the drive if you're not to far.

housing is $375.00 ..... now that may sound high to some people ... I personally live only 50 miles from there, but that works out to 1hour drive there and back each day / less time to sleep in order to get up in time to make the drive there .... but due to the fact of rising gas prices ... weather changing fast - interfering with driving to and fro .... each night you will have 2-3 chapters to read and questions to answer for each chapter .. due the first thing you walk into class the next morning .... The computer lab is open until around 10:30pm each night so if you want or need to stay after school or return after supper to study the chapter test on the computer - - you may. But if you drive back and forth each day ... you've lost study time which will be of great importance. You'll have homework each night for the first 2 1/2 - 3 wks .... Now I drove home on the weekend just so I could get away for a while ... other wise I would end up studying all weekend and never have any down time ... just my 2cents worth. I found the money spent for housing was well worth it for me.

I was planning on staying too during the week. I live in Claremore so it would be 90 minutes or better is my guess. My parents live about 45 minutes or so away on Keystone Lake. The plan would be to have my wife and kids come there on weekends. Thanks for the input Roses. Still awaiting word if the WIA will come thru. I got the physical and MVR along with Application sent in last week to CT.

Well A&M must be the choice. According to you and the many PMs I got. It has the best rep as well.
