Please forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place. I've been searching for a couple truck parts with little luck and this forum looked like the most likely to have an anwswer for me.
Some mid-90's Volvo trucks' 7" round headlights can replace the horrible units on Volvo 240 passenger cars. Many of us (Volvo car enthusiasts) have looked into the possibility of converting, but dealers usually want more money than our cars are worth.
Does anyone know of a good source of used parts? I *think* the part number for the frames is 8026546. There may be more parts required for the conversion though. I'd be interested in the all-orange turn signals as well.
For what it is worth, this truck has what we have (but with white turn sigs) and this truck has what I want.
A HUGE thank you to anyone who can point me in the right direction! |

that wont work.
diesel electricity is entirely different than gasoline electricity.
diesel electricity is usually imported from China. Hard to find good supply in the states....
seriously, if you are looking for a used set, then a junkyard is what you need. using the internet to find what a junkyard has is almost impossible...but finding locations and phone numbers should be easy. just call 'em up an ask for a 1994 WHITE/GMC (or what ever).
usually the yard will have other contacts. shipping on this item will be easy.
good luck |

Ahh yes, but Swedish electricity is bi-compatible...
Besides, I only need the surrounds, not the lights themselves.

OK, I guess that is kind of what i wanted to know. I spend a lot of time in junkyards for car parts, but I haven't found anything that deals with truck parts at all. I wasn't sure truck 'yards even existed!
I'll look into it further, but in the meantime if anyone knows of a good starting place in New England (I'm in CT), let me know...
Thanks for the reply |
