Greetings from Alaska!

I am looking for someone who might be dead heading in Alaska as I am moving to Loveland Colorado and need a great rate to get my household + car to Loveland. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks. :D

I think "alaskamovers" would be the place to call. They have cool looking trucks with wolves and bears on them. Since they deal primarily with Alaska to US moves, you should get a good rate.

It's actually www.movealaska.com IIRC.

A "good rate"? I'd be prepared to spend around $30k for a move of that caliber if it's a full 3 bedroom house. If you're talking about a two bedroom apartment and a vehicle, I'd think more in the $10-$12k range. Either way it's not going to be cheap, if I wouldn't have to deadhead the 2,500 miles I'd drive up there and move you down, lol.

You are either going to have to do it yourself, or hire a licensed HHG carrier to do it for you. "Joe Schmoe" with a dry van would get his a$$ handed to him by Canadian and American Customs if he was caught bringing a HHG load over the border.

I concur with Teal - you are looking at about $30K for a standard size house and a car.

load it all in a cargo container, you can pick a used one up for a couple grand.

i`d do it for 12k as I get up there several times a year, that includes ferry costs, me getting the container loaded and unloaded off my skateboard and disposing of the container if you dont want it.

I would`nt drive it through canada, customs could take a week at each end.
