|
|
Well, the tire vibration issue was finally found. It was determined to be a bad tire from the factory. A well known tire company where I just had eight drive tires installed tackled the front tire problem.
First I took the tech. for a drive down the road. He could not believe the shake at around 30 mph. So first they tried to re-balance the tires, which did not work, second they had another rim as one was a little tweaked so they changed it, nothing... same shake at 30 mph. so they put a leveling block type thing on the ground when it was on the balancing machine. It was determined to be 3/8" out of round. The tech. indicated that it was a defective tire from the factory. However the tire shop did not have this type in stock and would have to order one. So now I’ll head back to the T.A. to see if they will replace the tire under warranty. As I said before I suggested to the T.A. to try a new, or different tire.
I'll keep you updated on the out come.
Thanks

You would think that that "out of round" tire would have been pretty easy to find. Just jack it up, spin it and look at it!
Did you (or they) look to see if the tire was properly mounted on the rim?? |

Told ya :P
Tires made at the factory go through testing but there are more bad ones getting through than people realize. |
