I'm wondering how you managed to get a 2007 engine, when they aren't available until next year........ |

Holy bejesus, what the hell is that nasty lookin compound?
Why is it when u go to your local NAPA store they have that ,,test'' thing on the counter, it shows Lucas lubricating EVERYTHING while regular oil does not and why is it that every mechanic reccomends it? What are you guys reccomend, just plain oil without anything else?
This really scares me.. |

Thats what I said when I saw it, the difference is the thing on the counter doesn't go fast enough to do that, BUT the engine does.
Look at it this way, Exxon, Shell, Mobil etc all have billions to spend on research, they are 50 times the size of Lucas oil, they put ENOUGH additves in the oil now, $30 for a gallon of Lucas is only making Mr Lucas rich, it doesn't do much for you or your engine.
Just my opinion, based on 30 years of NOT using additves AND never doing an inframe on any of my trucks, all went over 1 million miles and 1 is still running today with 1.4 million.
Just plain oil 8) 8) |

That is because that little "test" thing on the counter contains PURE Lucas - not a Lucas/oil mix.
That, and the little hand crank doesn't turn the gears fast enough to froth it up. |

I always used Lucas and it's a good product.
What are the Credentials of this Bobistheoilguy other than him playing with the Gear toy? |

Bobistheoilguy is not a he - it is a them.
Quote: Bob Is The Oil Guy (BITOG) began in May 2002 with a handful of participants and now our oil forums have over 13,000 registered members. And we have well-respected tribologists, chemists, and oil analysis professionals who regularly participate and contribute their knowledge and expertise.
Unlike most private motor oil web sites, Bob Is The Oil Guy is not about selling you something. It's about educating you so you can make informed decisions about the life blood of your engine: motor oil.

No different than the "demo display" that Lucas uses. |

and this Bob whatever is Heavily sponsored by Castrol which is a Huge competitor to Lucas.
This smacks just like when a company Just happened to have a Alternative to Freon way back when and they Paid a Environmental group to Protest the Use of Freon because of "It's Harm to the Environment" and Wa la-This new companies products became the new standard for A/C. |
