| After every 34 hour restart a driver that drives from point "a" to point "b" and back to "A" can use an exception to drive past the 14th hour but drive no more than 11 hours and only use this exception once until another 34 hour restart. |

That would be that a driver can work 16 hours but can not drive past 11 hours if:
A) Said driver returns to the starting point where they started their day(ie. warehouse)
B) Said driver HAS RETURNED TO THE STARTING POINT FOR THE PAST SEVEN DAYS, EVERY DAY OR FROM THE LAST RESTART (ie. HAS NOT SPENT A NIGHT OUT OF TOWN IN THE LAST SEVEN DAYS OR SINCE THE LAST HOUR RESTART)
You are right but left a lot to answer :D |

This is under "Adverse driving conditons" where you can legally drive beyond 14 hours.
However, you Dawn stated in your first post on this thread that we as drivers can drive beyond 14 hours "under the 14 hour rule". Then you come back here at a later time and date and state this?
Get your facts straight before posting an idiotic thread like this again.
And i believe a few posts before that someone specifically told you to go home.

However if a driver has used the Adverse driving conditions exception and she doesn't understand this exception but only goes with her simple rule she would declare that driver in violation.
Here is the regulations: Please read carefully!
(a) General. (1) The rules in this part apply to all motor carriers and drivers, except as provided in paragraphs (b) through (o) of this section.
(b) Adverse driving conditions. (1) Except as provided in paragraph (h)(2) of this section, a driver who encounters adverse driving conditions, as defined in § 395.2, and cannot, because of those conditions, safely complete the run within the maximum driving time permitted by §§ 395.3(a) or 395.5(a) may drive and be permitted or required to drive a commercial motor vehicle for not more than 2 additional hours in order to complete that run or to reach a place offering safety for the occupants of the commercial motor vehicle and security for the commercial motor vehicle and its cargo. However, that driver may not drive or be permitted to drive
(b)(1)(ii) After the end of the 14th hour since coming on duty following 10 consecutive hours off duty for drivers of property-carrying commercial motor vehicles;
I am strictly going over the Property-carrying regulations!
Federal DOT says you can not drive past your 14 hour for any reason unless you follow the split exemption! :lol: |

| thread states can u be on duty past the 14 hour clock. we all know you can be on duty past your forteen hours but when you come off lne4 you may not drive for 10 hours thats it question answered. but the better question would be after you were on duty for lets say 15 hours and went directly to line 2 would you be fined later on. for that xtra hour lets say a day later not an oos violation but a 14 hour violation.? of course who in their right mind would show 15 hours on duty. so this is all pointless. |

Technically, I don't see were you can be fined for being on-duty past the 14 hours. You went right to line two for ten. And I have shown over 14 hours before and I have never had it questioned by safety and the DOT. Had a level one day after I longed 15.5 hours(under 11 driving) and the DOT never questioned it. 100% on both truck and driver. |
