D-1. May a driver be on duty for more than 14 consecutive hours?

Yes. A driver may remain on duty for more than 14 hours; however, the driver of a property-carrying CMV cannot drive after the 14th hour after coming on duty. Also, the additional on-duty time will be counted toward the 60/70-hour on-duty limit.

Correct, in theory, but incomplete. You didn't mention the split logging exception that would allow a driver to DRIVE after the 14th hour from the time originally coming on duty IF he has taken an 8 hour S/B break.

Wow Rev. I thought with all the heat you gave this gal she'd be gone!

Why post random FMCSR regs? As it is when I hit "new posts" I get like 6 pages, why make it worse!?

No I am not randomly picking things from the book, only picking things that I know for a fact 1 out of 20 drivers do not know this FACT! And I thought I would share it to those who are not aware of the FACT!
Again to help a driver out!

Yoopr: The fact being I teach @ least 30 new drivers a week on this and to be honest @ least 2 out of them say they did not know this and to reallyl be honest it is more than that! I have to debate with them (Like Rev) that it is really true they can be on line 4 after their 14 hour!

So my facts are PRETTY REAL!

Why do you guys have to attack, instead of just talk? Really, I am a pretty knowledgable person (I don't care what you really think) but I don't understand why people like you and Rev have to be like this to people, do you 2 want to be alone on the board or what?

Then back up your "Facts" with the FMCSA regulations. Show us some proof that your facts are "PRETTY REAL". I've backed up my claims that your "facts" are WRONG.
