Quote: I guess I am just scared that our relationship is moving in two different directions. HELP!!!
Why do you feel that your relationship is moving in 2 different directions??
If it is the separation of him being on the road, then I can tell you this.....
I am not in the industry just yet, but I am active duty military and have spent more than my fair share separated from my family. I have been away anywhere from a few days up to 14 months. It is not easy and takes a ton of work to make it work. But like anything in life, if you want it you sometimes have to work very hard for it. My wife and I just celebrated our 14th year of marriage.
IMO, as your b/f goes from "wannabee" to "newbie" he is going to need all the support he can get from you. The last thing he needs to do is worry about his family while trying to learn how to safely operate a 80,000lb machine rolling down the road.
Communication between you two is the just one of many keys to a successful relationship......
just my 2 cents :) |
