I lost my king pin virginity today.
It was going to cost me about $900.00 at the local Freightliner dealer.
A friend mentioned Kaiser king pin kits. (No resizing needed)
$389.00 later with kit in hand I started the project this morning. After about 6hrs both sides are completely disassembled, cleaned (1 million miles of grease and krud) and the left side king pin and bushings installed tomorrow I'll get the right side done and reassemble the brakes.
I've decided to replace the drums, shoes, hdw, and seals at the same time. The front chambers, hoses and bearings appear to be almost new.
I also bought my wife some new tools and a pressure washer (for Christmas)  and tried them out today during this repair. (She'll be very happy)

| Update us on how it handles! Of course you're definitely going to need an alignment too. |
