BERLIN - A truck spilled two tons of pigs' heads on a road in western Germany, giving passing drivers a shock on the night before Halloween, police said Tuesday.

The accident happened Monday night after the truck turned off a highway in Herne, in the Ruhr region, police in Bochum said.

As the driver accelerated away from a traffic light, the door of his trailer opened, spilling the severed heads onto the road.

It took the fire service, helped by a fork-lift truck, an hour-and-a-half to load the heads back onto the truck.

No offense, Skull, but I call B.S.!!

I think you made this up for a Halloween treat. Not only does a door NOT open by itself, unless poorly closed (which few truckers would do,) but then you have to believe the heads were not palletized, or no load locks were used.

Just how many pigs heads can be picked up at one time by a FORKLIFT???
Not many, I suspect, which makes this just a little unbelievable. Maybe, a front end loader.... but not a forklift.

And 4,000 lbs of pigs heads is probably MORE than could or would fall out unless the truck took off at a very high rate of speed, which FEW of us can do in the first 3 gears!

I could be wrong. You got a link to cite? Maybe YOU didn't make it up... but I think SOMEONE did!

There are several references to this accident on the Intenet. Here is a link.
