Anybody use or have knowledge of these PIVA brand televisions for trucks? I've read a couple of website reviews but of course they want you to buy it so it all sounds good...now how bout some reality feedback. How's the picture quality, does it really pick up channels without a satellite feed, etc?

Well this particular model listed for $375. Had an incorporated DVD player and makes claims to be able to attain television reception through its internal antenna.

So does my $150 13" TV/DVD combo I bought at Love's :)

Remember, some areas you travel into have a lot of reception, no reception, or 2 chaneels ( a spanish one that comes in clear and PBS at 12/ signal  )

I'm sure no matter which one I end up buying there will always be something that isn't what I expected.

In my Kenworth I had a Antenna which was interwoven in the roof and bought a TV at Radio Shack which had a feature which scanned all available stations in a particular area I was at and it worked fine for me. Think I spend $100 or so for that TV and it worked great.

I bought a Toshiba 13" or 14" with a built in DVD player at Best Buy for about $130. I ran it off a Cobra 400 watt continuous inverter. I never had a problem with it. Like yoopr said, every time I would stop somewhere and wanted to watch tv I'd just turn it on and go to the menu and select channel scan and it would find available channels. Most of the time I watched DVD's though. :D :D

Yeah it did-came in through the TV Cabinet along with a Cigarette lighter outlet for plugging it in.
