Is sch eiders pay-scale as good as Crete's 41 cpm at 1 yr...I have to ask because Schneider's Website is as ambiguous as Werner's ,So they don't list a pay scale they simply say ...VARIES...
If this is true then I'll probably have to be scratching off Crete as a potential employer if I do go back OTR ... |

No it is not true.
If they had been bought out in Feb of this year then it would have been all over the industry news long before now. |

Crete is privately owned by Duane Acklie and has been for decades.

| I doubt that it's true either. Now if you had heard it on Channel 19 instead of reading it in a forum, it would have to be true. Everyone knows that there are never any lies spread there, just 100% honesty... |

I can't believe some of those guys actually think that Schneider bought Crete. There's no way that Schneider had enough dinero to buy Crete/Scaffer/Hunt Transportation, unless they've been dealing crack on the side. |

IMO if Crete did purchase SNI, they would be doing a lot damage control.
I frequent the PD.com chat room, and I talk to alot of people that are just waiting for that contract to be fulfilled. Some are happy, and content with SNI. Others are counting the days till they can jump ship. |

| If anyone cares to actually read the whole thread, we all were making light of a terminal that had been rumored to have been slated to close. Im twisted and started that "rumor" with RockinRobin who left SNI and works for Crete now. Didnt actually think anyone would take that post serious as I poked fun at the current leadership of SNI. Sometimes reading the whole thread is warranted. |

I did read the entire thread, but didn't need to before posting my reply on this thread as I knew the odds of it being true were slim and none and slim had just left town. |

| I seriously doubt if we'd have gotten our recent raises if sni had bought us out. We were just having a little fun. You know us drivers, we get bored and stuff happens. |

| Anything I hear bout a companies business side,I'm gonna take with a grain of salt!! Don't depend on truckin'boards for your news learning.Check out the "serious" news sites . Examples, OOIDA, Transport Topics, any trucking industry site, plus most any major news site might carry some "transportation type" news but I'll bet it will be limited,by what little I've seen anyway. |
