I'd like to do some maintenance to my boss's 2004 Mack Granite.
- what type of grease for the auto slack adjustors for the cold climate?
- oil type/weight for the front and drop axle wheel bearings
- what grease for the lube fittings
Thanks in advance. |

I hope that by cold climate, you don't mean toronto?!? Anyhow, a #1 or #0 grease flows better in cold climates, especially with auto slacks. It will work for chassis as well, but #2 is generally recommended.
What color is the fluid in the wheel hubs? Most newer units use a synthetic 75w90, older systems used a 80w90.
What kind of grease is in your grease gun... that's what most normally use. |
