If by "cheap" you mean offbrand, then I highly recommend you don't do it.

I don't know what kind of a deal you can get through OOIDA but they have a national account set up. I think you have to buy them using a specific credit account, though. Not sure how all that works but it's worth looking into I suppose. You can probably do a search on this board to find some info.

2400 for 8 new drives aint bad actually if its a good tire, I wouldnt pay 1700 for recaps though.
if your needing to save money learn how to change em yourself, only takes a couple spoons and maybe a cheater tank, dont pay anything for disposal of the old ones either, sell or give them to a retreader. |

If you ever get around the Houston area there's a Tire Place West of town about 20 miles or so(Sorry-forgot the name of the Town) but there's a Small truck stop close by. Best tire prices I ever saw and they're NOT Recaps.

There is a link on www.foglinesoftware.com website which will help you locate tire dealers anywhere in the U.S. You don't have to lease on to Schneider to take advantage of their national buying program. Schneider, Landstar and some other carriers who broker freight have programs where you can get national pricing on tires, etc., If you have your authority, you can get set up with some of these carriers and get discounts the discounts. If you get a PDCA card from Transportation Alliance Bank (owned by Flying J) you can take advantage of their buying program. If you are a member of OOIDA you can get a Fleet One card. There are national buying programs for tires with the card. Good luck.
