my first post :) bought a 88 international 9370 with a perty fresh engine rebuild that has been rolled on its side, i've done very little fiberglass work but i'm going to attemp this, headlight is busted out and fender cracked, both windshield posts are busted, and top side is caved in, this is gonna be an old farm truck so it doesn't have to be perfect

now the ???

1)do any of the 4300 body parts fit a 9370
2)would the mirror be factory
3)should i reinforce the breaks in the fiberglass with metal
4)where can i get part numbers without bugging the dealership

thanks a bunch midmo :D

The cab should be the same but the interior brackets for the upholstery etc are probably different. The mirrors looked the same for 20 years on Int so that shouldn't be a problem. Most guys when they repair glass will hold the pieces together with steel strapping and sheet metal screws until it's fully cured and then remove the strapping and fill the holes with filler. When you're repairing the hood I would probably put a small steel rod on the backside of the repair and glass it in just because the hood vibrates and bounces so much. I would probably repair the roof cap first then do the posts just be careful to get the roof width close or you might have a windshield that doesn't fit! I'm not a bodyman so take this info with a grain of salt. Good luck.

Not totally different........the 9300 and 4300 series used the same cab, with a few exterior changes in the final years. I believe the doors are interchangeable, up until they went with the non-vent window doors...

Most of the changes are in the interior, and I've seen a few old 4300 series trucks updated with 9300 series interior parts.

how 'bout using fiberglass to repair the fiberglass... instead of metal?

...just trying to save you some work on your restoration project.
