I have been talking to a few companies about driving a truck. I had Maverick run me and make sure I was clear. My DAC came back and said I had a felony in 2004..........not me. Maverick says they cant do anything. I have to call DAC in the morning to find out whats going on with this.

Called Texas DPS crime records today........said they didn't show this charge on my record. I do have one in 1986 when I was 17 and in high school. Clean since then.

Maverick says " cant help ya"........DAC is a bunch of Bogus info if ya ask me. Where it said the charge came from (county) I called the PD Dept, Sher Office, and DA office, none had a record. DA told me to call DPS crime Records.

Any of you people have info on your DAC report that isn't true?

Get in touch with DAC, and see if you can clear this up.

DAC doesn't store any criminal history information, just job history. When it comes to MVRs and Criminal Histories, DAC orders the reports, nothing more. They will provide you with a copy of what was ordered, but they don't have anything to do with the actual record that was entered. So, go after the source to get the report removed. Good luck.

It is also possible that someone entered the wrong SS number somewhere down the line. All it would take is one typo and up comes some elses record.

Also if all DAC ran was a name based search there could be someone else with the same or very similar name whose record came back as yours. IE John D. (David) Smith and John D. (Donald) Smith.

I sent a certified letter requesting my DAC at no charge and citied "As Per FCRA provisdion 612(a)(1)(A)", "Without charge to the consumer". I asked for it in Detail, not a summary and ACTUALLY GOT IT!

The last time the SOB's made me pay $9 and only sent me a summary.

On my DMV it was missing a no left turn ticket from 2 years ago and didn't show any of the minor mishaps (no police citation) I've had in the last few years.

So much for DAC!

No citation is no conviction so it will not come up in a basic search. The only way something like this will show up on a DAC is if the company you were working for reported it to DAC.

Yes, I believe this is what happened to etex. DAC is a lot like the credit bureaus, and they DO make mistakes.

Happened to me with the credit bureau. I applied for a loan, and my credit report came back saying I had a bankruptcy! It sure as hell wasn't MY bankruptcy  I had to jump through a lot of hoops to fix it.

Good luck, hope you get it straightened out.
