Thanks for your concern, RostyC. I am fine. I have just been on a run to New England. I didn't have cell phone or air card service for about 200 miles. It seems that once I hit Portland, ME, both went out until I got back to Portland. I was about near the Canadian border.
I am sorry to hear about the OOIDA board requiring an MC#. I thought you could subscribe to the owner operator part without an MC#. |

Well, you need either a MC# or a US DOT#. The MC I can't do, but the DOT is a possibility.I would have to do some checking as to what's involved with obtaining the DOT# and rules and regs I would have to follow by having one. However,my work truck for my construction business is a 1 ton w/ a 9' utility bed with a 9,900 GVWR. This might be a possibility, I'll have to check. More than one way to skin a cat.
Oh yeah,GMAN, welcome to the cramped but ever so happy Northeast! There's always room for one more you just have to squeeze in 8) |

| There is some beautiful country up your way, once you get away from the cities. My wife had never been that far up East. She had hoped to see a moose while we were in Maine, but didn't see anything. My biggest complaint is the tolls. It can cost a fortune in a big truck to run the Northeast and New England. They are sure proud of those toll roads. :P I rarely go any farther north than Baltimore or sometimes New Jersey. This is the first time in several years that I have visited that part of the world. After paying all those tolls, I remember why I rarely go there. |

| yeah, there is some nice country up here. I'm north of Baltimore in Hampstead. Close to PA. Used to be if you blinked your eye you'd miss it, now it feels like a metropolis, to me anyway. Next time you're out this way give a shout. |
