1. Search is a handy tool. You will find much on Schneider.
2. That being said - it doesn't matter what you do job wise - anytime you are looking to work for one of the largest companies in an industry you will always get 2 opinions. Either they are ok or they suck.
Like anything else it's what you put into it. I went there in 99 and felt I got excellent training on how to drive the truck. BUT I was familiar with trucking, I didn't get nervous about driving the truck and maybe I have some small talent for it. It's all really up to the person going there. If you are reasonably comfortable in the truck and listen and actually pay attention - you will be fine.
Seems to me it's the people who feel SNI OWES them something - job, training or whatever - they are the ones who seem to have problems. SNI or any other company owes you NOTHING. You owe them in the respect of doing your job well, paying attention, following company policy and so forth. Just like ANY other job. Why some drivers feel like they can do it their own way is beyond me - trucking is the only industry where that attitude seems so prevelant, that I have seen.
Good luck..... |
