Anyone see where Haynesworth deliberately took that players helmet off and basically stomped his face with his cleats? Took more than 30 stiches. That was just plain assault. IMHO he should be arrested and charged, just as if he were not a rich and famous ballplayer. A little fine and suspension is NOT enough for that type behavior. What do you think should be done with him?

Off with his head! :P

I think that he needs to be back home, sitting on the front porch, and not playing professional football. I wish I knew where he lived. :P Yeah,I saw that. Very unprofessional for a professional football player. Stuff like that DOES NOT belong in the National Football League. What a crock pot.

Didn't see it but understand what happened. Hear this though, the police usually will not get involved with this type of stuff unless it was a fan involved. The NFL handles all on field problems and police handle what goes on in the stands with the gentleman's agreement that they have(a handshake deal.) I would not be surprised if the NFL takes this opportunity to make a statement by suspending this guy the rest of the year with no pay.

That P.O.S. got a 5-game suspension...

...for a team that will be lucky to win 3 games all year.

Yeah, that punishment fit the crime. :x

He better watch his back, though. Someone will take him out of the game for good. I promise you, you've got a bunch of other players for other teams wondering "geez, what if that was me?"

That guy is finished.

Well, the NFL screwed the pooch on that one. They had a chance to drop the hammer on this out of control rough housing and didn't do it. I guess they used the line, "worse has happened before," in reference to the old days of the 40's and 50's when this type of play was acceptable because the play was not over until the ballcarrier had his forward progress completely stopped.

You know that if Gurode from the Cowboys ever presses the point the local Law Enforcement is already @ the waiting. Everyone has seen what happened the League may have winped out but if this goes any further it will be from the combatants.. Will he press (Gurode) Why or why not???

If this is a Poll my Answer is No he won't-the NFL is a brotherhood and unless he permanently put him out he won't File.

It would set a very bad precedent if he does file assault charges and they go thru. With some of the cowards in the NFL these days, they will start filing assault charges everytime they get bodyslammed or hit hard. Heck, the QB could file charges everytime he is sacked, as could the RB everytime he runs the ball.

I may be totally wrong on this, but if I remember right,Roy Williams has been fined a couple of times for hitting guys too hard. It is a safety issue. I can understand it,on account of the guy who is getting hit,for his well being, but if you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

I agree...if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen and hard hits are part of the game. But this butthead stomped on Guroudes head. And when the helmet came off, he stomped and kicked again, resulting in 30 stitches being needed to close the wounds. This wasn't just football...this was blatant assault. They need to file charges and kick his ass out of the N.F.L. It's not like this is the first time, either. Read the stories...this is the same guy that got into several fights with his teammates in the locker room, that went after another teammate with a 10 foot pole back in college. He's a freakin' nutjob and a 5 game suspension isn't squat. Good thing the N.F.L. polices their own. Hopefully, his career ends shortly after coming back.

Oh I agree Twilight, the players are going to punish him when they get the chance. They will remember this incident and if they ever get a chance to lay a "Woooo" lick on him, they are not going to hesitate. He is a marked man now. At least Kyle Turley ripped the guys helmet off and tossed it 40 yards downfield, he didn't turn aorund and stomp on the guys head.

:D Just read on Fox Sports where some of the big-name players in the NFL are coming down hard on this idiot, many of which think he should be banned for life from ever playing another game. 8)
