| Hello all. I have been off for a few weeks. So far I'm doing well. First couple of weeks were slow being new. But thing have picked up, last week was an $8400 week before expenses. Spent about 1000 in fuel. Only incidental was blown tire which cost 318.00. Anyways I know thing will get better with time. Oh by the way that is pulling a dry van. Most of it came from running 90 miles loads paying 500 dollars a pop. I am averaging about a buck eighty a mile. |

Collard,
What are some of things that you learned the last few weeks so I won't be as slow as when you started?
Glad you're doing good. |

I just did some quick calculations. I think your numbers are off a bit. If you are averaging $1.80/mile with $8,400 in revenue, that means that you have run 4,666 miles in one week? At 5 mpg, you would have used 933 gallons of fuel. Did I miss something? Are you saying that you spend $1,000 in fuel or bought 1,000 gallons? I don't see how you could have run that many miles pulling 90 mile freight. Perhaps you could clarify this for us? |

| Probably started with little fuel in the tanks and ended with a fillup... a week isn't a long time to let that average out. |

| Well this post started off good. Breakdown the $8400 for us so we can believe you. Gman ran the numbers and he says something is fishy. Please prove us all wrong. I want to believe the $8400 Greens because thats the kind of money O/O's should be making each week. Congrats on getting your authority. |

At first glance I thought the figures were a bit off yesterday also but I didn't have a pen handy. Thanks GMAN :P |

I think I got his numbers figured out. It looks like he spent $1000 on fuel which is about 300 gallons. If he made 17 runs for $500 each he would have $8500. If each run is 90 miles he would have gone 1530 miles which at 5 mpg he would have burned around 300 gallons.
It's the 1.80 cpm that doesn't add up. Maybe he netted 1.80 after every expense known to man. |

Well, since we've started a "guess" game, i'll play! :D
That $1.80 a mile, probably "all time average". He said, he was running a few weeks, and the last week it was $8.400.
According to his fuel mileage, he posted on another topic, it's about 2,800 miles, at a $3.00 a mile, for the last week! 8) |

| Sorry it took so long to get back for some reason I was banned from forum. I miscalculated fuel receipts about 1700 dollars in fuel. Started on Monday the 18th and Finished Wednesday the 27th. Ran from Fort Pierce FL to Pompano Fl twice paid 500 dollars each time that a thousand. Loaded in Miami, FL to Phoenix, AZ about 2400 miles paid 3200 dollars. Now we are at 4200 dollars. I filled up in St. Augustine, FL 338.73 cost of fuel, next fuel was purchased in Orange TX 200 dollars. Filled up in El Paso TX 349.00. Delivered in Phoenix, dead head to Phoenix to load. Load going to O'Fallon MO right at 1500 miles paid 2575 dollars. Now we are at 6775.Filled up in Gallup NM 311.00. Took on 200 dollars in Mt. Vernon MO. Delivered and loaded out of Red Bud, IL to Jacksonville, FL little bit over 900 miles paid 1600 dollars. Filled up in Conley Ga 356.27. Went home to deliver. It averages out about 1.75 to 1.76 a mile. Yes I ran my butt off and was tired. |
