| Yeah, I always thought he was so happy. He's always smiling. I guess he's like a bunch of these guys, $$ can't buy them happiness. I remeber when Deion Sanders was going through it...man. |

| Think what you will about T.O. (I personally don't like him myself), but when we're talking depression, lighten up. Unless you've experienced it, you have absolutely zero idea what it can do to a person and by making an off-handed comment like that, you're marginalizing the disease and making yourself look bad. |

I'm interested to hear, I heard they are spinning it.
Also, I agree w/Twilight on not bashing depression. However, I do agree they are overpaid and shouldn't complain about most of the stuff they do complain about, but I wouldn't ever want to see someone try and do something like he did. |

You don't know me and you absolutely do not support me so I really do not give a damn about how I look. I know who I am and am comfortable with my past accomplishments and contributions in life to my fellow man....take the political correctness and admonish someone else....take it as you wish but I am not really trying to offend, just defend. |

| I just read the whole story on CNN. It states that TO mentioned he was depressed, probably because his season was not going as he wants it to, but no where in the story was it mentioned that his depression was based on long term "clinical" implications or diagnosis. As is usual with TO, he plays it off like nothing, so that is what it is, nothing. By the way, never did I bash or mention "depression" in my initial post, as moderator I would expect a little more attention to detail. Have a great one. |

First of all, I don't like T.O. any more than the next guy. I am a huge Dallas fan and think that despite his talent, it was a mistake to bring him aboard.
That said, all the news stories pointed to him attempting suicide due to his depression.

In my personal opinion, that was cold, callous, and thoughtless and I stand by my assertation. The fact that you feel the need to defend yourself, cements that in stone. My comments were said in defense of those that suffer from depression, regardless of who they are, and what they have do to survive each and every day.
I have dealt with depression from both sides of the fence. If you haven't, then you look bad, end of story. I would suggest volunteering at a mental health clinic to get a good idea of how difficult it is for people to beat depression. If you have dealt with it, then I am at a loss as to why you would make the comments that you did.

| Well after all that TO says it's not correct. He was out @ practice catching passes today. Dude is amazing. Most guys would sit on the sidelines w/the broken bone. |

| I really don't know what to make of the situation, myself. One person is saying he tried to commit suicide and several others are saying he mixed up his meds with his supplaments? So what is it? Suicide? Accident? Publicity stunt? No idea, myself, but I'm really questioning the suicide attempt. If it turns out to be a stunt, I'm going to pitch a fit. Hopefully, it turns out to just be a stupid accident. |
