I've run across a few companies that don't care how you get your cdl, as long as you have it they will hire you. (Meaning don't have to be a grad) I've been told Conway Central Express doesnt nor do I think Estes does.
Any others?
I've been looking at the LTL companies for starters. |

| LTL's typically only hire experienced drivers. That's why they don't care how you got your CDL. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you can get hired on with one of them even without much experience. A friend of mine did that recently. Had plenty of straight truck experience, but had never driven a TT before. He got his Class A by taking the test with a dually and a triple-axle trailer. Hired on after that. |

| I have to agree. LTL companies require a good work history - 5 years minimum from what I've heard, and an excellent driving record. BTW, one of the best LTL companies I have heard to drive for is Saia, I dunno if they are nationwide, I just stay here in Phoenix, drive 8 hours a day, and then go home : ) |
