A few years ago my husband drove flatbed for them. For a flatbedder getting percentage, their freight was cheap. His current company hauled a load for them a few weeks ago, nothing has changed, still cheap freight.
The equipment then was awful, they were pennywise/pound foolish regarding repairs. Trying take the cheapest way out which resulted in worse repairs/problems 50 miles down the road. Motto was limp back to the yard, dont get it fixed on the road unless its DOA. I heard they bought new trucks, so who knows now.
All in all, my husband would tell you to RUN not walk to another company. |

Only the Falcon Shop can adjust brakes. Don't do it yourself or let any truckstop service center touch them.

| I worked for them driving a dedicated automotive account and alomst went broke in my time with them...very inconsistent work on the account i was on and their equipment was absolute garbage. The only time their trucks are decent are when they are brand new straight from the dealer. Their up keep is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! This is no exageration in any form, I worked for them just short of a year and i was in and out of about 8 trucks, it might have been 9. They would break down or they would reassign them when they took them in for service. i was on a dedicated run that didnt get near their shops so when my truck needed servicing they would wait untill my days off and send another driver down to Birmingham with my truck to the shop....never got a single one back whether or not i had gear in it...lost a lot of personal items and spent alot of time moving into trucks. Never got one that was cleaned out or looked like a decent human being lived in. Every truck was disgusting and i had multiple breakdowns due to the fact that they would stall repairs more than any responsible company ever should. They are an extrmely cheap company and you could do WAY better in the flatbed world and i say that knowing that the Falcon Flatbedders are actually the more profitable of the the drivers there....I would say shop somewheres else for a job. I had a very miserable experience there and spent a lot of time at my terminal in nashville and got to see just how cheaply the company is run. Just my 2 cents |

| i leased to them 10 years ago. jay bowling was running the birmingham terminal then. at that time b-ham & nashville ran real nice. i stayed 1 year & got a better paying dedicated route. i have heard from o/o & co drivers recently for falcon that things are no where near as good as they use to be. |

U gotta run flat or Automotive. I did General Commodities - a lot of doing nothing.
They seem to have a lot of wrecks, I was out of the Middlesex yard. They dumped all the crashes there.
Last Spring both the trainer and trainee were napping. They hit a bridge abuttment around Chicago. Big fiery crash. Luckily no one got killed.
Safety rating sux. Plan on a lot of DOT inspections.
Like any other company they have some top notch people and a lot of deadwood.
All in all I liked them. but just couldn't make enough money.
