Sheeeeesh, it always seems like someone has to dredge this issue up every time we turn around.

There is absolutely no prohibition against firearms in CMV's where the Feds are concerned. Its strictly a State and local issue. Beyond that its an issue to employers. Many companies have zero tolerance rules on possession of firearms in their vehicles, and possession is a "termination offense".

If you have the legal permit to "conceal & carry", fine...carry it. But you'd best find out what your employer's policy is....before you find out just before the door hits you in the butt.

That being said....I've been doing this since 94', and have never actually had an occasion where I felt the need to have a firearm handy. I do as yoopr said.... I stay aware of my surroundings, who is in them, and keep my wits about me. And I have travelled in, delivered to, and picked up, in every major metro area and center city in the country.

Frankly, if and when it gets to the point where I actually consider toting a firearm with me.... I'll find something else to do to make money.

What parts of a truck are quickly detachable?

Also a spare CB antenna would probably work wonders if you cannot get out and away from the attacker.

A steal toed boot in the face- just hold onto something if the attacker grabs your foot - then you can use your other foot I'd imagine.

But I think the VERY best protection would come from PREvention.

Do not Believe me ask those SCUM BAGS FROM THE ACLU!!!! They're all about that!!!
