| I burn movies all the time with my dvd burner. But for personal use. You can get in big trouble for selling copies that you burned. I'd probably buy something from them though. If anyone gets in big trouble, it'll be the seller. |

| I wouldn't count on it, Adam. I went to the truck stop to check on my truck the other day and a couple of guys in a van pulled up. They had a lot of speakers, surround sound, etc., that they were selling. They said that it was left on one of their trucks and their boss wanted them to sell it for what they could get. I wouldn't buy it. I think it is ridiculous to think that they were just given thousands of dollars in product to do what they want. I went in the truck stop and when I cam out, the guy just down from me was loading one of them in his truck. This sort of thing can't exist without truckers participating. People steal because they know someone will buy. I assure you, if you buy stolen goods, you will be arrested and charged, if caught. |

Just remember that alot of that stuff you buy was stolen from your fellow Drivers. |

| Some owner operators leave a CB in their trucks for their drivers to use. You could still be buying a stolen radio. |

umm you need to go and check you law books cause you CAN be charged for recieveing stolen property even if you did not know it was stolen.
Where do you think that line came from:Receiving stolen goods is generally buying or acquiring the possession of property knowing (or believing in some jurisdictions) that it had been obtained through theft, embezzlement, larceny, or extortion by someone else.
If you did not beleive it was stolen or know that it was stolen your not going to be charged with any crime. |

| You can be charged. Getting convicted could be another story. |

OK..........
You buy a CB radio on ebay, you later find out it was stolen. Will you be charged with receiving stolen property? NO, you had no way to know that you were buying a stolen radio.
You buy a CB radio out of the local newspaper classifieds, You later find out it was stolen. Will you be charged with receiving stolen property? NO, you had no way to know that you were buying a stolen radio.
Here's a good one......
You buy a radio from a pawn shop, you later find out it's stolen. Will you be charged with receiving stolen property, will the pawn shop be charged with receiving stolen property? NO, neither will be charged.
If you could be charged for receiving stolen property just becasue you bought something that was stolen every pawn shop in the United States would be out of buisness because they would be afraid to buy things from people. |

I have no clue where you live but in Michigan Pawnshops have Lists of Stolen Items given to them Regularily from local and State Police.
Guess you Glossed over this:
A person who is a dealer in or collector of merchandise or personal property, or the agent, employee, or representative of a dealer or collector of merchandise or personal property who fails to reasonably inquire whether the person selling or delivering the stolen, embezzled, or converted property to the dealer or collector has a legal right to do so or who buys or receives stolen, embezzled, or converted property that has a registration, serial, or other identifying number altered or obliterated on an external surface of the property, is presumed to have bought or received the property knowing the property is stolen, embezzled, or converted. |

I would not want to buy stolen property no matter how cheap or how good it was. I do not like thieves.
How would you feel if someone stole your stuff?
It is a matter of doing the right thing. If you think there is a possibility that it is stolen don't buy it.
