I'm a diabetic on oral meds and I noticed one thing. Bu let me give you the back story 1st.

I was diagnosed with diabetes about 6 years ago when I was 38. I took a 3 year sabbatical and went back to work a few months ago for Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, just for something to do.

Well, the exercise dropped my blood sugar to the point where I no longer take insulin. (I wash and deliver cars.)

My question is this: Since I DO NOT want to go back to insulin, will my trainer mind if I insist on scrubbing the outside of the truck, top to bottom, front and back every other day? (I'm serious about the exercise and doing this, however; I am presenting this question in a dry humor sort of way.)

You're all wet, both you and your trainer will have better things to do with your time. BOL

Drive reefer, lumper your own loads, park in the back of the lot and walk more, ( 2-3 miles per day) sweep your trailer out after every load, and do a complete pretrip everyday before you log miles (cleaning your glass and lights)....and you'll be doing just fine.

When you have any home time, go hunting or fishing, and/or become a Volunteer Firefighter.

I see some guys polish their aluminum too. That is always nice to see.

Sounds like the ticket - thanks for your suggestion. Looks like Swift is gonna have a least 1 shiny truck.

I'd rather be riding my VTX 1800

VTX 1800 is a big bore Honda v - twin Cruiser. 1795cc - mainly for highway use. Like a classic Harley But MUCH better and ya don't have to be a qualified journeyman mechanic to own one. 8)

My step-grandfather rode motorcycles into his 60s. He always said that Harleys were the safest cycle in the world as they were in the shop 2/3 of the time.

I used to own a Harley. I never had a problem with it. I do know that there were several years when they had some problems. As far as I know, they have solved any quality control or breakdown issues.

There used to be a commercial on TV about our local Harley shop. It may have been a nationwide commercial,so yall may have seen it. It showed this blind black man walking down a sidewalk with his walking stick. All of a sudden, you hear what sounds like a set of straights, and he stops for a second, and says"nice hawley",and starts walking again. :P

I think we are on to something here,,,,,,why not open your own truck wash/detailing center,,,,,,you could put a sign up outside that says "All trucks hand washed inside and out"

You've already got a customer base right here.

Employ college girls, and you could beat out Blue Beacon. Hell...all they'd have to scrub is the windshield. :? 8)

.... :? T*Storm...I don't know if that helps you with your Blood sugar levels...but it sure is a sweet idea.

Harley's back in the AMF days were nicknamed Bowling Balls.
