Keep this in mind if you are going to truck. You pay the bills Monday thru Friday, you make your real money Friday thru Monday. Basically, when you get out from under that lease umbrella you need to consider this. Most shippers pay a premium to have it moved over the weekend.

That's the advantage of being an O/O w/authority. I don't need or have to.

TF thats a typical attitude authority or not. I have 3 authorities, but the money flows best on the weekend. I have a few guys that only work the weekend and make more than the weekend fisherman that have to be home. Congrats on having your authority, now get your business hat on and maximize your money earning. Some O/O's have no idea how to load their wagon, if they even own the wagon, but have the attitude I dont want to. My O/O's have always made great money and everyone that has left has begged to come back. Sorry, I dont do reruns.

Hey Genius, I have 9 shippers as clients that pay me very well. Now go and sell your little broker biz to someone who does not have a clue.

I have a brokerage, common authority, and forwarder. I'm not here to solicit trucks. You have 9 shippers, tell me where you live and type of trailers, i'll give you 10 more. I try to help O/Os, but some people dont need any help they have 9 shippers, want 19?

For me it's only a money issue, i don't really care, if it's Monday, or Sunday! :D
But since i don't see any advantage off "weekends" rates, where i am, i prefer to spend it home.
Once in a while, i got offered good weekends deals, and have no problem, of taking it.
Regardless, if i "need, or have to"! Cause you never really know! :P
