Well, since longer than 6 months was not in your choices I voted 6 months but in reality these new regs. are here to stay and everyone has already tried unsuccessfully to get the implementation delayed. So far there has not been any success. Basically, this will revolutionize the trucking industry and shake out some carriers who can't adapt and in general shippers will be paying more and that means consumers will pay more.

I doubt very much there will be any noise from the "SUPER" carriers, it will just be a matter of adjusting the run time between shipper and receiver and once again the driver loses... It will take a concerted effort from all drivers to use the new rules to their advantage but, alas it will never come to light cause there will always be that certain handful that'll run for cheap wages just to prove they can!!!

Then there's this:

Not neccesarily, at first there may be a disruption in the major players however, after the dust settles nothing will change with the exception of DRIVERS PAY, which will end up being less after all is said and done!!

Ah yes trucking in the new millenium; An Adventure in Survival!!!
