FutureTrucker changed his handle to "Midnight Lighting" just before going to train with CRE. It did not take him long to see the light of day, so he left CRE, and went to train with Swift. Now his whereabouts are unknown!!

Actually, when he reappeared as "Midnight Lighting", and after leaving CRE, he came back with a much more mature demeanor; realizing that what he had been told about CRE was in fact, the truth, he had completely lost that know-it-all attitude that he had during his days as "FutureTrucker".

Personally, I'd like to hear from him and find out how he's doing!!

Useless,

doing OK.

I was addressing GregsDigital, the creator of this post.
I call his mistake when he says he paid $1800 for fuel.

I just did 5200 miles and my fuel expense was little over $1k.

My check will be about $1K as well after expenses.

I have seen the lease work at CRE. I have also seen it fail miserably.
It does take a business miind. It also takes some common sense.

And Merry Christmas to al who read this!

Well, I hope all goes well for you, although I must say that I'm rather befuddled about how you ran 5200 miles, with fuel costs of slightly over $1,000.00!!

Would you mind sharing your arithmetic with us??

Do understand, please, that I'm not calling you a liar, nor am I disputing what you are saying; I'm just having difficulty getting the dollars to make sense!!

In any event, BOL2U!!

It's the path to untold riches at CR England: running a training truck packed like a sardine can with a "trainer" and 1 or more "students" as a team operation.

Yeah, something doesn't add up. But things rarely do with the majority of those fleece-purchase scams.

I assume that he has factored in his FSC to get down close to $1.25/gal. Using $1.25/gal and 6mpg you get "just over $1k. That's the ONLY way to get to that unless he fills up at fantasyland.... :D

Could be, Geomon, but rather than jump to any conclusions, I think that it is only right to give Spencerain the chance to respond to the question, if he chooses to do so.

Do remember though, that he does not owe me, or you, or anyone else an explanation; it is his right to respond by not responding!!

There may be a logical explanation, and your explanation regarding the FSC may very well be right on.

Additionally, to have cleared about $1000.00 (after expenses) for 5200 miles worth of driving only breaks down to about 20CPM; that would be before taxes, including self employment taxes, which must be paid as well!! Additionally, any repair or breakdown expenses involving the truck are on his nickle!!

That being the case, his numbers seem to be right on! Although I do hope that he's clearing more than that, I'm afraid that he most likely is not!!

i was also thinking along those lines and calculated it pretty close using the FSC factored in but i was gettin to crossed eyed to post it  .Like Useless said it is up to him to explain to us if he wants not for us to judge.

"You" ran 5200 miles last week? Are you running solo with two or three logbooks or are you running team....?

If your fuel cost was even close to $1K....you were either getting one helluvan FSC...or unbelievable fuel mileage. 5200 miles at 6mpg is 867 gallons at an average fuel price of $2.50= $2166.67. Kinda looks to me like your FSC is about 21cpm??

If you're doing well, MORE POWER TO YOU!! :D It really would be nice to hear that someone actually did well there.....

I don't see how a check for about $1,000.00 for running 5200 miles could be considered "doing well", but then again, that's his gig, not mine!!

If he ran that 5200 miles solo, then there is no way that he could have run legal in only a week's time. He must have had a team driver; hopefully, not a trainee, because he is still a rookie himself!!

In any event, I wish him well!!

First... my fuel average is around 6.5mpg.
And yes, we did run mountains in Utah, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania/WV/Maryland.

My FSC is .23 if I take it. Otherwise England has a fuel cap at $1.25 per gallon.

I do run team with another rookie, not trainee.

Well, Spencerain!!

You have taken the big plunge, and even though we have had our differences in the past, I really do wish you all of the best in 2007.

Since you are now in the L/O program, perhaps you will continue to post, and offer insights to everyone (including me!!) regarding the things that are working, and things that are not working.

Most importantly, perhaps you will share your secrets of sucess with everyone, so that we may learn more about why some CRE drivers suceed where others fail.

BOL2U in 2007,

Peace,
Useless
