I have an IT job now but worked in the HHG moving industry as a mover and a driver ten years ago.
I have been getting fed up with office politics, fear of being laid off and the other bs that goes with the territory.
I was just wondering what has changed in ten years in the moving industry? Is there still money to be made? Ten years ago drivers that worked hard, and was smart with their business could gross 275-400 a year. I worked as a company driver and earned over 50 ten years ago but ran pretty hard.
I am looking at my future and trying to decide which direction I want to go.
Thanks for any answers. |

Quote: 10 YRS AGO YOU COULD DRIVE AS MANY HOURS AS YOU WANTED TO, BUT NOT TODAY!!!
Who told you that? .... No, we had laws 10yr ago that told us how many hours we could drive - just as today in 2006 ... they were a bit different -but not much .... There's always been laws ! |
