I am so glad I quit usxpress. Got miles now making twice as much. Home in seven days not 2 months.... Big company suks. You got to start somewhere this is true. But much happier now. I know my dispatch now. Not changing every other month... Got to love trucking'''''''' This company keeps me so busy and my wallet is getting fat. They are allot of fun to work for no forced dispatch. I can pick where I want to go. It has a friendly relaxed dispatch. Was home last sat will be home this sat night. Much happier now.

Congrats. Hopefully more companies will start letting drivers call the shots, and they can be more productive if they work together. You have found that, and now its paying off. BTW- do they have auto's?

Good luck to you. It seems that for every one driver that defends one of those large companies, there are ten that find happiness at a small one. I think that's why there are so many of the small ones around.

There's a reason for those huge turn-over rates with the big companies. I'm with a company that has only about a 15% annual turn-over rate. I doubt you'll ever see an ad for them in any of the magazines. And, if no one wants to leave, it might be where you want to stay too.

Everyone has different things that make them happy. For myself, I have found that I do not like large companies. I work for a small company with less then 100 trucks. Much better atmosphere. More closely knit. And, I'm treated far better than I ever was with a large company. There are things that I can complain about, but I'm not looking to KILL my dispatcher.

I am going to US Express a week from Monday in wedway Ohio. Anything I should know about Medway? I am renting a car down there as I hate riding the bus. Is there anywhere to eat around there? How are the bunk houses???

There is no where to eat except the awful food they bring in there. Stuff like you get in the machines is what they feed you at lunch. There is a shuttle bus but it takes 45min to get somewhere. A bunch of us had to wait three hrs. to eat one night cause the first bus filled up and there was too many of us. Instead of the driver dropping the first group off and coming back for the rest of us he waited til they were finished then brought them back. The bunk house is hot. No windows. The men said they're restroom/showers were clean but the ladies was filthy. We had one toilet among about 15 women that we also shared with the women that were parked at the term. We had to all wait in line. One of the two toilets was broken. It was no picnic. The tv rooms were nice and they did have a nice area to play ping pong with nice tables to sit at. There were lots of drivers sitting around waiting on trucks to get fixed etc.

I went to USX before Swift.. And after not being able to get a trainer for almost 3 weeks I left.. I also don't like forced dispatch as well.. With Swift even running 48 I can decline a load if I don't want it...

I have been with my new company for over six month I have never been happier. I would never work for a big company again. About usxpress how humiliating I am not the only person that is talking bad about the company. I have talk to woman that was in the same vote as I. I am so lucky I didn't end up homeless. Nothing but local deliveries unload load every day usxpress.
I always ask the drivers why is that we don't see many of the swift usxpress jb hunt ect. on long rural roads I see my company trucks daily. My company has 78 trucks. Usxpress 5000 whats wrong with this picture. Truck driver Will come back there all in the rail yards. Compare my pay check with usxpress pay check 10 folds bigger.
