I feel that I post too much and I was wondering if you guys thought so too. I have "dominated" so to speak, the whole bottom section of the forum. I post in every subject I can. I try to be relevant in my posts, but I feel that I am starting to get on people's nerves. Thanks.

I actually enjoy reading some of your posts and admire your determination to work through the rough parts of your life and desire to drive truck. I always wanted to drive as a kid, probably because thats what i grew up with, took me 20 years to finally get around to getting my cdl and love every minute that i can be behind the wheel. Do your best with your dad, keep your grades up at school and keep dreaming.
As for a chance to be around trucks before you can hit the road, try new and used truck dealers, they might have openings in the parts dept pulling parts, washing trucks or even sweeping the floors. Might even get you a chance in the future to get in a seat and move a few trucks around.
Keep hanging around here and i have a feeling you just might end up being "unoffically" adopted by a few of us drivers. |

| That would be cool to be adopted. Especially by drivers. I think when I get my regular liscense, I will be able to get that job. The freedom of driving would allow me to go more places and since there is two places I can go, it would be easy for me to get to one of them. There is a dealer on I-40 here, then West Texas Pete is off down the road from here somewhere. |

Remember something very important to help you keep focus in order to achieve your dream of driving big rig...
Stay Clean.. no drugs or anything like that.
Keep your nose clean with johnny law... any mishaps are pretty much going to stay on your record.
when you start driving a car at 16 or 17, unless you already do now... keep your foot out of it and refrain from getting tickets or accidents.. once again keep the record clean. cause if you dont, it will haunt you for years to come, ... generally, thats the killer of dreams. like driving a big rig.
basically, use your head. i remember what it was like at 15, hell my oldest son now is 15, he wants to drive rig someday too. he goes riding with me in the summers while off from school. i tell him everything i telling you now. keep your head on your shoulders and steer clear of trouble. then when its time, you will drive big truck, and companies will be glad to have you.
you have a dream, thats awesome. you can achieve it by remembering them important things. alot of want to be drivers, can not drive truck, due to mishaps in their background.
this is the best info i can give you from my perspective.
consider it a deposit into your bank account at the bank of big rig driving. :P |

way ahead of you on the money deal. Being the wonderful people they are, my grandparents (the ones that have a farm; the ones I helped haul some of their cows) gave me a couple of cows. They produce, and all the bulls are sold off. ANd they sell good. I have something like 4,000 bucks saved up.
130,000 more to go towards a rig!
And I have never done nor do I expect to do drugs. |
